Problems

Recycled PP and PE bring variability that hits both processing and part quality: inconsistent melt flow, poor filling of complex mould geometries, surface defects and flow marks, batch-to-batch variation, and reduced process stability. That unpredictability is what keeps recycled material out of demanding injection-moulding work.

Opportunity

When flow won’t hold steady, moulds mis-fill, surfaces suffer, and rejects climb — so converters fall back on virgin resin to get predictable processing. Every part that needs virgin to run reliably is recycled content, and cost saving, left on the table.

Controlling flow means recycled PP and PE can run in demanding parts without virgin resin added just to stabilise processing — higher recycled content, fewer rejects, and shorter cycles. Predictable production from cheaper, variable feedstock, at lower total cost.

Reactive Recycling™ modifies polymer structure during processing, letting converters adapt recycled materials to the exact flow their process needs — on existing equipment. The core tool is NEXAMITE® R202, a reactive masterbatch that increases and controls melt flow (MFR) in recycled polypropylene, available in graded activity levels for a predictable, dialled-in adjustment rather than a fixed one. The result is stable, repeatable moulding from recycled polyolefins, with better mould filling, cleaner surfaces, and less batch-to-batch drift — without leaning on virgin polymer to fix processing.
